The Killing Season is over, Is it?

“Remember, we are all affecting the world every moment, whether we mean to or not…. Our actions and states of mind matter, because we’re so deeply interconnected with one another. Working on our own consciousness is the most important thing that we are doing at any moment, and being love is the supreme creative act.” ~Ram Dass
The dolphin hunt here in Taiji appears to be over for the season!! The banging poles have been taken off the boats, and all tarpaulins removed from the cove and butcher houses! A great day in Taiji! We are all excited and the Internet is abuzz of this wonderful news. But is it really over?
Not really …The Japanese Fisheries Agency (JFA) also set a national catch quota of twenty Risso’s dolphins for small-type whaling in Taiji from 1 May to 15 August and 1 to 30 September.
In Taiji during May-August 2007, the researchers also collected samples from hand harpoon catches when they had the opportunity, including 49 bottlenose, 77 Risso’s, 13 spotted, and 13 striped dolphins.  Harpooning of   Dahl\’s porpoises Continues.
Let just rejoice in this moment. We all so deserve it.
Great job everyone and tomorrow when the morning awakens us, we all once again feel renewed and start yet once again to fight for the worlds small cetaceans.

For the Dolphins, For the Whales, For the World. Save the Blood Dolphins of Japan~
